Energy
Efficient use

The RIFIL Group is constantly striving to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, from raw materials to manufacturing processes, product transportation, and end-of-life recycling. This strategic approach has translated into concrete actions geared toward sustainability and responsible innovation.

Green energy

The roofs of the RIFIL plant in Gura Humolurui are already equipped with photovoltaic panels to produce clean electricity.

To increase the share of green energy and reduce electricity consumption, additional photovoltaic systems are planned to be installed on the RIFIL roofs in Savinesti and Rolana 2.

Furthermore, with the amendment to the Group's supply contract, starting in 2023, we will be using green energy, thus promoting the production of eco-sustainable energy.

Energy saving

We invest in the systems and machinery of our various production facilities, adopting measures to reduce energy consumption. Latest-generation inverters, electronic equipment, and increasingly effective production controls are some of the measures we employ to this end.

The use of modern digital meters to record consumption data more accurately enables innovative approaches to energy management, increasing efficiency with the ultimate goal of reducing specific energy consumption.

Heat recovery

Thanks to the sophisticated heat recovery system, we use waste heat and reintroduce it into the dyeing process in addition to the normal production of the boilers and the cogenerator.

and Environment

Waste water

Our production processes consume a lot of water, especially the dyeing plants. We are therefore focusing on innovative water-saving methods to continuously reduce these quantities.

The parameters of the wastewater are monitored and pre-treated before being sent to the consortium's wastewater treatment plant.

Eco-friendly packaging
We are increasingly using cardboard boxes and dividers made from recycled waste paper.
Waste
Minimizing waste is an important goal for RIFIL. Therefore, regular waste analysis and proper separation of materials for recycling are the principles we have established to achieve tangible results. Waste production is decreasing every year; we work hard every day to maintain this trend.
Paper consumption
We are further expanding the digitalization of work processes across all locations. Through digital working methods and modern document management, we are moving toward a paperless office, offsetting the unavoidable use of paper with certified and sustainable products. We see further potential for reducing paper consumption in our production departments, so we are accelerating digitalization in these areas.
Suppliers

We ask our suppliers to pay ever greater attention to sustainability and environmental protection in the supply chain.
